Young Lions narrowly defeat Villamonte/Blitz, 84-82, in Class A

Young Lions recently defeated Villamonte/Blitz, 84-82, in Class A of the ongoing Fil-Sino Athletic Club Asia Brewery Invitational Cup 2018 at the Bacolod Tay Tung High School Po Hang Gym.

The eventual winners opened the game with a 29-16 lead, which disappeared as the teams were later tied 57-57.

A crucial lay-up by Ricky Despi gave Young Lions the edge.

Jaybee Alic led the win with 21 points, followed by Rimor Taronas with 20, and Despi with 13.

In the other game, Shakey’s beat Supertwins, 91-87, and Jap’s Sportswear defeated Brew Kettle-MSW Bleachers, 105-96./JSG, WDJ
