The Iloilo City Local Economic and Enterprise Office (LEEO), in coordination with the Food and Drug Administration, will hold a basic orientation training on meat safety at the Iloilo City Diamond Jubilee Hall on Friday, February 9, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

“We’ll try to initiate more food safety-related programs to give awareness to the public,” said LEEO head Jose Ariel Castañeda. “We want markets and slaughterhouses to be well informed of proper sanitation.”

A total 150 meat vendors, dealers, and processors are expected to participate in the event./WDJ
