STI-WNU wins Game 1 of finals series

STI-West Negros University (STI-WNU) beat Bacolod Tay Tung High School (BTTHS), 95-87, in Game 1 of the 2018 National Basketball Training Center (NBTC) Bacolod leg best-of-three finals series over the weekend at the STI-WNU gym.
The eventual winners opened the game with a slim 19-17 lead at the end of the first period. However, BTTHS took control of the game and ended the first half ahead, 44-41.
STI-WNU entered the final period at a five-point deficit, down 65-70, but managed to pull ahead, 73-70, within the first two minutes of the quarter. They continued to pull away and ultimately claimed victory.
Aldave Dale Canoy led the victory with a massive 32 points, followed by Mark Bandojo with 15, Dave Agbas – 14, and Philip John Majometaño – 12.
Game 2 will be played tomorrow, February 7, at BTTHS./JSG, WDJ
