The Philippine Independence Day Council, Inc. (PIDCI), which hosts an annual Independence Day Parade down Madison Avenue in New York City in June, recently invited Iloilo City Mayor Jose Espinosa III and Dinagyang Festival Ati Tribe competition winner Tribu Panayanon of Iloilo City National High School to join the event.

“I would really be glad to join,” the mayor said. “This will be very exciting.”

Romel Flogen, who won Best Choreographer with the winning group, alongside George Susvilla, Jr., noted, “We’ll have a street dance parade, [a] series of shows, and performances there.”/WDJ
