Ceres FC opens campaign against Cambodian champions

Ceres-Negros FC opens the 2018 AFC Cup group stage with a match against 2017 Cambodian League champions Boeung Ket Angkor FC next week, February 13, at the Panaad Park and Stadium in Bacolod City.

The Negrense side will be defending their ASEAN Zonal championship, where they defeated Singapore’s Home United FC in the finals, who happens to be drawn in Group F alongside Ceres.

Also drawn in the group is Myanmar National League champions Shan United, whom Ceres FC defeated in the 2018 AFC Champions League qualifying play-offs last month.

Meanwhile, Global Cebu FC, who finished second to Ceres in the 2017 Philippines Football League, was drawn in Group G, alongside 2017 Liga 1 runners-up Bali United FC of Indonesia, 2017 V.League 1 runners-up FLC Thanh Hóa FC of Vietnam, and 2017 Myanmar National League runners-up Yangon United FC./JSG, WDJ
