The Iloilo City government, during a flag ceremony at the City Hall last week, awarded P5,000 allowances for 16 students with disabilities.

“This program is intended for those who are willing to pursue their studies despite poverty, especially those who are graduating PWD (persons with disabilities) students,” said Office of Persons with Disability Affairs head Blesilda Mabilog. “The allowances given to them are a very big help.”

A P150,000 allocation was set aside for the program last year./WDJ
