Bacolod Tay Tung High School (BTTHS) recently confirmed volleyball player Marianne Sotomil will be playing with the University of the Philippines (UP) next season.

According to BTTHS Vice President for Sports Jose Montalbo, they are only waiting for the formal offer sheet from UP to finalize Sotomil’s commitment.

Sotomil, of Iloilo, has been named ‘best setter’ following several competitions.

She is the third Western Visayas-based player recruited by UP, joining Arielle Estranero and Jessma Ramos./JSG, WDJ
