After organizers of the Bacolaodiat Festival 2018, scheduled to run from February 15 to 18, earlier backed Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia, who voiced support for a ban of Coca-Cola products at the upcoming event, heeding the call of United Sugar Producers Federation of the Philippines President Manuel Lamata, the mayor reiterated his support for the ban.

“I am one of those who would like to protect and support the sugar industry,” he stated. “Sugar industry is what built our city and our province.”
