Lopue’s-USLS qualifies for junior competition

After competing in the Best of the Best Table Tennis Championship over the weekend at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium in Manila, Lopue’s-University of St. La Salle (USLS) qualified for the junior competition of the 2018 Southeast Asian Junior & Cadet Table Tennis Championships, which is organized by the Southeast Asian Table Tennis Association (SEATTA) and is set to take place in July.
Micah Tanate, Stephanie Villanueva, and Neil John Lauren took part in the Manila tournament, with Tanate and Villanueva taking third and fifth, respectively, in the 15-and-under cadet girls division; while Lauren took eighth place in the 18-under junior boys division.
The top eight players qualify for the SEATTA competition.
A ranking process ahead of the competition is scheduled for May./JSG, WDJ
