ICNHS group wins Ati-Ati competition

Tribu Panayanon of Iloilo City National High School (ICNHS) was declared the champion of this year’s Ati-Ati competition, one of the highlight events of the annual Dinagyang Festival in Iloilo City, which celebrated its 50th anniversary over the weekend.
Along with taking home the competition, which came with a trophy and P250,000, the group also won Best Choreographer and Best Musical Director in the special awards; and Best in Music, Choreography, and Performance in the minor awards.
Winning second place was Tribu Salognon of Jaro National High School (JNHS). The group from JNHS was also recognized for Best Costume Designer in the special awards; and Best in Costume, Discipline, and Street Dancing in the minor awards.
Meanwhile, Tribu Ilonganon of Jalandoni Memorial National High School came in third place.
Other events of the weekend included the Kasadyahan Festival and the Parade of Lights contest, a new addition for this year, featuring a variety of lighted floats on display from 7:00 p.m. until Midnight last Saturday./PLL, WDJ
