Politicians flock to festivities
Various politicians flocked to Iloilo City this past weekend for the Dinagyang Festival, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. Festival highlights opened last Friday and ran throughout the weekend.
Among those spotted include Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque, Senator Cynthia Villar, Davao City first district Rep. Karlo Nograles, and Ilocos Norte Governor Imee Marcos.
Former elected officials, such as former Senators Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos and Jinggoy Estrada, were also present; along with foreign dignitaries like Russian Ambassador to the Philippines Igor Khovaev, outgoing Indonesian Ambassador to the Philippines Johny Lumintang, and Vietnamese Ambassador to the Philippines Ly Quoc Tuan, were also present.
Iloilo City-born Senator Franklin Drilon, however, did not show up. A first for the long-time politician./WDJ
