Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) spokesperson, Police Senior Inspector Armilyn Vargas, said they are currently preparing security measures for this year’s Bacolaodiat Festival, which is scheduled to take place from February 15 to 18.

According to Vargas, Police Regional Office-6 (PRO-6) has yet to announce if they will provide an augmentation force for the event, but said they would rely on traffic enforcers to serve as “force multipliers.”

Vargas added,the Bacolod Traffic Authority Office is presently laying out a rerouting scheme during the duration of the festival.

Previously, 311 PRO-6 cops were assigned to oversee security for the MassKara Festival and during the Christmas season, but were pulled out for the Dinagyang Festival in Iloilo City, which ended this past weekend./DGB, WDJ
