Singcang, Fyrfyter/Dobinsons, Jap’s Sportswear win in Class A

Both Classes A and B of the ongoing Fil-Sino Athletic Club Asia Brewery Invitational Cup 2018 recently saw action at the Bacolod Tay Tung High School (BTTHS) Po Hang Gym.

Singcang Destroyer defeated Villamonte/Blitz, 95-87; Fyrfyter/Dobinsons beat Supertwins, 86-73; and Jap’s Sportswear triumphed over Mexicali, 99-82.

Alvin Jamora delivered a massive 33 points in Singcang Destroyer’s win over Villamonte/Blitz.

Meanwhile, in Class B, Summit beat Vitamilk, 88-78 in overtime.

The eventual winners carried a 60-55 lead into the final period, which ended in a 74-74 tie at the end of regulation time.

Seven points from Jeffrey Espuerta helped put Summit over the top.

Espuerta finished the game with a total 20 points, leading the victory alongside Dandan Ong and Michael Ang with 14 each, Jappy Cuaycong – 12, and Mark Lo – 10.

Despite the loss, Richard Co scored a total 22 points for Vitamilk.

In other results, Absolute defeated Barista, 91-69; Cobra beat Coco Fresh, 85-68; and Sunkist defeated Nestea, 63-54./JSG, WDJ
