In response to the recent National Police Commission (Napolcom) decision to remove the height requirement for prospective police officers, Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) director, Police Senior Superintendent Marlon Tayaba, considered it a positive move.
“That is good,” he said. “What is important for a policeman should be IQ, dedication to work, and the will to fight.”
The new criteria becomes effective with the next scheduled Philippine National Police examination, scheduled for April 22.
According to Napolcom Vice Chairman Rogelio Casurao, applicants are only required to have a bachelor’s degree and must be 30 years old or below./PLL, WDJ
