Bacolod City barangay tanods are expected to receive P2,000 in incentive pay once Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia approves an ordinance that was recently passed by the Bacolod City Sangguniang Panlungsod (SP).

According to the legislation, authored by City Councilor Caesar Distrito, tanods are being provided the allowance for serving as “force multipliers,” who assist local law enforcement and the city government.

Among the criteria listed to qualify for the incentive pay include service for at least two years, the completion of self-defense training, and attending a basic law enforcement seminar.
