Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) chief, Police Senior Superintendent Francisco Ebreo, recently stated there is no threat from the New People’s Army (NPA) in the city.
During a courtesy call on the Bacolod City Sangguniang Panlungsod (SP) earlier this week, he credited local residents in preventing possible attacks by the rebel group.
Meanwhile, Ebreo reported illegal drugs are still their major problem, citing the low number of Bacolod City drug personalities surrendering to law enforcement.
He claimed some drug personalities are not surrendering as they are not sure of their fate after undergoing rehabilitation.
Ebreo urged the SP to increase funding to the local police./NC, WDJ
