Two people were arrested by members of Police Station 2 (PS2) late Tuesday evening after yielding several dried marijuana leaves at a police checkpoint at Purok Tilapia in Barangay 16, Bacolod City.
Police identified the suspects as 18-year-old Paul Clarence Ellera and 37-year-old Randy Gensoly, both residents of Barangay Granada in the said city.
PS2 commander, Police Chief Inspector Benedicto Villarias, Jr., said the two were stopped at a checkpoint, where Ellera was asked to open his sling bag.
Police immediately arrested both Ellera and Gensoly after spotting three plastic sachets of suspected marijuana leaves.
Both suspects are presently detained at PS2 on illegal drugs charges./DGB, WDJ
