Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Bacolod City District Engineering Office head, Engr. Abraham Villareal, affirmed they currently have no funds to provide for lighting along the Araneta-Magsaysay flyover, which opened to the public last month.

He said the lighting situation may be resolved next year for the structure that cost over P300 million to build.

DPWH also has yet to install traffic warning signs at the flyover.

Prior to its opening, Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia called the flyover a “dream come true.”/NC, WDJ
