Several road accidents have occurred along the Bacolod-Silay Airport Access Road, often caused by irresponsible motorists or those unaware of defensive driving tactics; they only thing they know is to speed up, without regard for anybody else – that’s how the devil enters the brain. If these motorists driving to and from the airport maintain a normal speed and stop at all intersections, these accidents could be avoided.
This even happens at the intersection of the airport terminal road. If you are trying to catch a flight that is still at the airport, there is no reason to drive carelessly.
Many also ask why the lights along the Bacolod-Silay Airport Access Road are busted? Who is responsible for this? Hoping Silay City Mayor Mark Golez can offer some enlightenment.
Upon entering the airport, drivers are irritated there is no free parking. Just bringing a passenger to the airport, there is a terminal fee. What is it for? Isn’t the parking lot a part of the airport? Why do drivers have to pay P40 just for waiting on passengers? Airport authorities have yet to answer the multitude of questions.
Arriving passengers often complain baggage trolleys are not readily available. What is the purpose behind this?
Maybe it is time Bacolod-Silay Airport be turned over to capable operators, such as those running Mactan-Cebu International Airport. The facilities in Cebu have improved greatly, including a greater number of toilets, which are super-sanitary.
That is a result of strict policies and every politician knows they must abide by the rules – that is how things must be.

It has been raining all week, which has caused flooding in some parts of the city. Part of the problem is the indiscriminate disposal of trash, wherein blame falls upon those experiencing the flooding. This lack of discipline is already common knowledge.
That also goes for traffic management.
One tourist asked me, “Mayayabang ba ang mga drivers dito sa inyo? Kahit private cars parang dahilan din sa magulo nyong daan.
