Toboso-born Merlito ‘Tiger’ Sabillo vowed to give his ‘very best’ and will not depend on a home crowd advantage for his upcoming Oriental and Pacific Boxing Federation (OPBF) light flyweight title fight, scheduled for February 17, against defending champion Edward Heno at Gaisano Mall in Bacolod City.

“I will do my very best to deliver a good fight,” he said. “I take my training seriously; I won’t rely on the hometown advantage.”

Sabillo, who defended his Asian Boxing Federation (ABF) lightweight title last October against Crimson Omayao, would likely qualify for a world title fight if he were to win.

Heno, who is originally from Baguio City, won the OPBF title following a rematch against Japanese boxer Seita Ogido last year./JSG, WDJ
