Provincial Tourism Office head Christine Mansinares recently revealed tourist groups from Malaysia and Canada are expected in Negros Occidental towards the end of this month and in February.
She noted the group from Malaysia will be comprised of 15 local celebrities and media personalities, scheduled to arrive during the last week of January. The group is expected to close their visit in Iloilo City to celebrate the Dinagyang Festival.
Meanwhile, the group from Canada will be made up of 250 tourists of Filipino descent. They are expected in the province on February 6, when the provincial government hosts “Governor’s Night” to welcome the group.
Mansinares said she expects more foreign visitors in the coming months./DGB, WDJ
