The National Irrigation Administration (NIA) is expected to construct irrigation projects for Silay City, Talisay City, Victorias City, EB Magalona, and Manapla in an effort to improve the state of local plantations.

According to acting NIA-Negros Occidental Irrigation Management Office head Lorena Sioco, the projects, which will cost P1 billion, is expected to be completed by 2023.

She noted, P200 million will go to fund the construction of a dam in Barangay Consing, EB Magalona.
