High school competition begins today

The high school division of the Dinagyang Mayor’s Cup opens today, January 12, at the Ledesco campus of the Hua Siong College of Iloilo.
“We need this type of league,” said Iloilo City Mayor Jose Espinosa III. “This will help our young ‘cagers’ to showcase their [potential].”
“I decided to host this type of league, wherein the best of Cebu, Negros, and Iloilo can compete against each other; if I can recall, this is the first time after many years our city hosted such event,” he added.
