A wife was stabbed to death by her husband in La Castellana, Negros Occidental on Tuesday evening.

The fatality was identified as 46-year-old Jenny Legaspi, a resident of Sitio Sambag, Barangay Kamandag of the said municipality.

In a radio interview, Police Chief Inspector Irma Teoxon of the La Castellana Municipal Police Station, said the victim’s husband, Juanito Legaspi, arrived home drunk, with the two later engaging in an argument.

The conflict resulted in the husband stabbing his wife.

Their child, who witnessed the encounter but was told by the father to keep quiet, reported the incident to police, who later arrested Legaspi in Moises Padilla.

The suspect has since denied the accusations and is currently detained at the Moises Padilla Municipal Police Station./NC, WDJ
