FC Meralco Manila drops out of PFL

Ceres-Negros FC recently revealed the signing of midfielder Mike Ott, younger brother of Ceres midfielder Manny Ott, from Thai League 2 club Angthong FC. The addition makes it five new acquisitions for the Negrense club ahead of their 2018 AFC Champions League qualifying play-off match against Shan United FC of Myanmar next week.
Prior to his stint in Thailand, Ott played for reserve teams in Germany, his birthplace.
Earlier, Ceres signed goalkeeper Antonio ‘Toni’ Doblas, defenders Sean Patrick Kane and Amani Aguinaldo, and striker Takumi Uesato. While saying farewell to goalkeeper Roland Müller, midfielder Iain Ramsay, and striker Fernando Rodríguez.
Meanwhile, it was reported late on Monday, FC Meralco Manila, who topped the 2017 Philippines Football League table at the close of the regular season, announced they would not be participating next season.
