The San Carlos City police arrested 14 individuals and seized P150,000 worth of suspected shabu during a Sunday buy-bust operation at San Juan Baybay, Barangay 6 in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental.
According to San Carlos City police chief, Police Superintendent D’Artagnan Katalbas, Jr., the arrested individuals were identified as 54-year-old Jose Palabrica, 29-year-old Peter Rovir, 33-year-old Ryan Guillen, 21-year-old Jayban Rosalejos, 32-year-old Niño Kim Bartulin, 47-year-old Amado Palabrica, 31-year-old Rhea Bartulin, 56-year-old Elma Fernandez, 29-year-old Ramil Enardecido, 27-year-old Juliuos Ceasar Bermejo, 42-year-old Jordan Alec, 32-year-old Bryan Fernandez, 21-year-old Jesrell Paslon, and 23-year-old Ariel Paslon.
Police recovered seven sachets of suspected shabu and 23 tin foil units with traces of suspected shabu from the operation.
Katalbas said police, along with agents from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), moved in after Fernandez provided one small sachet of suspected shabu in exchange for P100.
Cops also recovered suspected drug proceeds amounting to around P3,050.
The arrested are currently detained in the custodial facility of San Carlos City Police Station and face charges in violation of RA 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./DGB, WDJ
