Local treasury operations officer Arlene Memoria of the Bacolod City Treasurer’s Office-Land Tax Division reported P60 million on real property tax (RPT) was collected on December 29 alone, the largest single-day collection ever.

She noted, the collections were advance 2018 RPT payments.

“Business confidence is restored,” said Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia. “I would like to thank the public for their cooperation.”

The second-highest collection came on December 31, at P42 million./WDJ
