The Business One-Stop Shop (BOSS), which opened at the Bacolod City Government Center (BCGC) earlier this week, on January 3, in order to provide faster and convenient business permit registration and renewal, will run until January 20.

The event, which is in operation from Monday to Saturday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., provides opportunities to renew current business permits and register new businesses in the BCGC lobby; along with acquiring necessary permits from the Bureau of Fire Protection, the City Health Office, the Business Permits and Licensing Division, the City Treasurer’s Office-Licensing Division, and the City Planning and Development Office-Zoning Division in the annex building.

Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia also issued an executive order requiring all barangays to set up desks in order for business owners to obtain barangay clearances.

According to the Business Permits and Licensing Division head Stela Rose Rayos, applicants must complete an application with the Business Permits and Licensing Office; pay an assessment fee for taxes, fees, and charges; receipt of official receipt, Mayor’s Permit, and other regulatory permits and clearances.

She said, once completed, a business permit will be released in one to two days./WDJ
