Bacolod City is scheduled to host the Jr. NBA Regional Selection Camp from February 10 to 11, where talented youth basketball players have a chance at qualifying for the National Training Camp in Manila in May.

Last year, Joshua Benedict Baldonado of St. John’s Institute (SJI) was one of 14 Jr. NBC participants from the regional selection camp in Cebu selected for the National Training Camp.

Other regional training camps are set for Butuan, Baguio, and Metro Manila.

“For the past 10 years, Jr. NBA Philippines has established itself as a platform to improve the youth basketball experience and promote an active and healthy lifestyle among the Filipino youth,” said NBA Philippines Managing Director Carlo Singson. “Together with Alaska, we are committed to providing proper guidelines to how the game should be played.”

A total of 37 boys and 37 girls will be selected for this year’s national training camp, with eight boys and eight girls chosen from the group to take part in an overseas NBA experience trip./JSG, WDJ
