One man died, while another was injured, following a motorcycle accident along the national road in Barangay Rumirang, Isabela, Negros Occidental on Wednesday.

The fatality was identified as 28-year-old Ramel Ramirez, while 31-year-old Reynaldo Ramirez was injured.

Initial investigations showed the elder Ramirez, who was operating the motorcycle, was attempting to overtake another vehicle when a motorcycle in front of him executed the same maneuver.

He abruptly applied the front brakes, causing him and his backrider, Ramel, to fall to the road.

The two were brought to the hospital after the incident, however, the younger Ramirez was pronounced dead on arrival./NC, WDJ
