The Iloilo City Public Safety and Management Office (PSTMO) recently reminded the public that firecrackers and other pyrotechnics can only be sold in designated areas, after reports surfaced of vendors selling in the City Proper district.

“I am reminding the public to not even attempt to sell firecrackers and other related materials in non-designated areas,” said PSTMO head Jeck Conlu.

He warned, violators will have their merchandise confiscated and may face charges and possible prison time.

In Bacolod City, firecracker vendors are currently set up at the rear of the Pope John Paul II tower, located along Rizal Avenue Extension in the reclamation area./PLL, WDJ
