The Iloilo City government last week recognized local ‘topnotchers’ of the recent elementary licensure examination for teachers, including Mary Clarence Gepes Madero who topped the batch, sixth place Franz Ian Dominguez, and seventh place Ma. Victoria Lionne Fulgencio Hierro.

“I commend our ‘topnotchers’ for bringing another pride to the city,” said Iloilo City Mayor Jose Espinosa III. “This only shows that we have a very competitive quality of education here in Iloilo City.”

Meanwhile, West Visayas State University College of Education dean, Dr. Gilda Montaño, was cited after her school was named the fourth top performing school, with an 88.36 percent passing rate./WDJ
