Brgy. 35 resident wounded in Christmas Eve hacking

A man was wounded in a hacking incident at Alunan-4th Road at Purok Masinadyahon in Barangay 35, Bacolod City on Christmas Eve.
The victim was identified as 42-year-old Garry Ledona, a resident of the said neighborhood.
Initial investigations showed Ledona, who was under the influence of alcohol, visited the Dulaca Builders Shop, where the suspect, 34-year-old Renpol Gonzales, was drinking.
Ledona was scolded by the owner, Matthew Dulaca, for unruly behavior and told to go home and rest.
After leaving the shop, Ledona was confronted by Gonzales, who hacked the victim on the head using a bladed weapon, approximately 21 inches from tip to handle.
The victim sustained multiple injuries to his head and face, while the suspect sustained stab wounds to the back of his body.
Both Ledona and Gonzales were brought to the hospital for treatment./NC, WDJ
