According to the fourth quarter Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey, President Rodrigo Duterte currently enjoys a 71 percent satisfaction rating, an increase of four percent from polls in the previous quarter.

The survey was taken following the liberation of Marawi City, following a struggle between government forces and the Islamic State-backed Maute terror group.

The poll also noted, the president received “Very Good” standings across all socioeconomic sectors; along with boasting an 84 percent satisfaction rating in Mindanao, which is still under Martial Law.

13 percent of those polled said they were “unsatisfied” with Duterte.

Meanwhile, a poll released prior to Christmas Day found 77 percent of respondents were expecting a “happy” holiday, which is the highest figure since 2002, when 82 percent speculated a happy Christmas.

Five percent said they were expecting a sad holiday, the lowest since 2003./PLL, W
