Escalante: Most of them are busy celebrating Christmas parties
By Dominique Gabriel G. Bañaga
Mayors belonging to local political group, the United Negros Alliance (UNegA), recently voted to hold the party’s annual conference next month, instead of December, with many members unavailable due to appointments and holiday celebrations.
“Most of them are busy celebrating Christmas parties,” said Negros Occidental Provincial Board Member and UNegA Secretary-General Salvador Escalante.
He speculated the conference would likely take place in the first or second week of January.
Escalante added, the prospect of barangay elections in 2018 is growing doubtful, saying some believe they will not push through./DGB, WDJ
