A post went viral yesterday morning after a netizen snapped a photo of a hanging traffic light along BS Aquino Drive in Bacolod City.
Bacolod Traffic Authority Office (BTAO) head, Police Superintendent Luisito Acebuche, said the traffic light was knocked over by winds generated by Tropical Storm Vinta.
Acebuche said the light itself was “old.”
He said a call was made to the City Engineer’s Office in response, who sent a service vehicle with a cherry picker to remove the damaged fixture.
Enforcers were also dispatched in order to direct traffic in the area./DGB, WDJ
