Bacolod City Mayor Evelio Leonardia recently expressed his optimism the city would continue to attract investment, especially in the property development sector, after the city was recently recognized by Colliers International Philippines as one of the “notable locations for hotel and commercial offices development.”
He said the recognition “plays an important role in attracting more investors.”
Leonardia said he plans to cut red tape in order to make it easier for businesses to grow in the city.
The Colliers report listed Bacolod City as a notable location for “co-working space, SM malls, and knowledge process outsourcing.”
The city was also listed as a notable location for hotel development.
Reports suggest Bacolod City is projected to increase performance in 2018, in particular, with three- to four-star hotels and resort-oriented development./DGB, WDJ
