Following a championship 2017 season with Ceres-Negros FC, goalkeeper Roland Müller announced he will be taking leave from the club to spend more time with family.

“I want to be with my wife and support her pregnancy,” he earlier informed the club. “This will be my new chapter [and] priority – family first.”

“Our work is done,” the goalkeeper added. “It’s the biggest success for a Philippine club and I have been so happy to be part of it.”

Müller also thanked the fans and everybody involved in the memorable season.

Meanwhile, Ceres team manager James Dinsay offered uncertainty on the goalie’s return.

“I don’t have any idea yet how long he will be out,” he said. “The club will build a team for next season that can compete with international clubs.”/JSG, WDJ
