Members of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) continue to search for 33-year-old Johncel Condello, a resident of Gigantes Sur, located within the municipal limits of Carles, Iloilo, who has been missing since a boat he was aboard capsized last Tuesday, December 19.

According to a report from the PCG, 18-year-old Ricky Bolahado and 22-year-old Rowel Mahusay were on board alongside Condello, when the boat was struck by high waves and strong winds, upending the vessel.

The two were eventually rescued by another passing boat, however, the victim had drifted away at that point.

The crew originated from the Bancal Port in Carles and were headed towards Nabunut Island, which is situated between town proper and the Islas de Gigantes.

Concerns have since arisen with Tropical Storm Vinta expected to strike the region.

Personnel from PCG Substations in Carles and Estancia are both involved in the search./PLL, WDJ
