Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Mark Villar yesterday confirmed his agency is currently completing feasibility studies for infrastructure in Bacolod City and throughout Negros Occidental.
Villar, who was in the city for the inauguration of the Magsaysay-Araneta flyover, said two additional flyovers are among the projects being studied.
The DPWH chief also said the proposed New Bacolod Economic Highway is a project he would like to see completed during the administration of President Rodrigo Duterte.
He added, additional diversion roads are being planned for Bacolod-Silay Airport.
“The total cost of the project would reach around P5 billion,” Villar noted. “Next year, we have P1 billion allocated.”/DGB, WDJ
