Tropical Storm Urduja: Aklan landslide forces drivers headed towards Malay to detour through Antique

According to the Philippine Information Agency, a landslide occurred yesterday at Sitio Pook in Barangay Gibon, Nabas, Aklan, which has reportedly interrupted road travel going in and out of Malay, where resort locale Boracay is located.
Based on reports, workers will need a day to clear the landslide.
Meanwhile, those operating on local roads will be detoured through Pandan and Libertad, in Antique, if they need to travel through Malay.
While there have been no reported fatalities from the incident, the landslide that occurred earlier in Biliran claimed the lives of 27 people, many of which were buried alive.
Earlier, it took two days for Department of Public Works and Highways workers to clear a road that was blocked following a landslide in Leyte./PLL, WDJ
