A man was stabbed to death by an unknown suspect at Public Plaza, Barangay 3 in Hinigaran, Negros Occidental on Sunday morning.

The victim was identified as 26-year-old Jose Velasco, a resident of Hacienda Manocao B, Barangay Bato in the said municipality.

According to an initial investigation by the Hinigiran Municipal Police Station, a certain ‘Ike Madrigalejo’ informed Donne Joseph Osonero, a friend of the victim, that he found Velasco lying on the ground suffering from a stabbed wound.

Osonero rushed to the area and brought Velasco to the hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival.

Hinigaran police are still conducting an investigation into the identity of the suspect./NC, WDJ
