A man was wounded following a shooting incident during a cockfight at Sitio Bombel, Barangay Minapasuk in Calatrava, Negros Occidental on Saturday afternoon.

The victim was identified as 38-year-old Warlito Mahusay, a resident of Spur 2 in the said barangay.

According to a police investigation, while attending a cockfight, the suspect, identified as 30-year-old Larnie Pepito, became violent and shot the victim with a .38 caliber revolver.

The victim was rushed to the hospital while the suspect fled following the incident./NC, WDJ
