A man was wounded after being stabbed Thursday night while drinking at the Bago City Public Market, located in Barangay Poblacion, Bago City, Negros Occidental.

The victim was identified as 18-year-old Anjun Maturan, who sustained stab wounds on his shoulders and back.

According to an initial investigation, Maturan and the suspect, identified as 26-year-old Oscar Jalando-on, were drinking together when an argument ensued.

After a few minutes, the suspect stabbed Maturan while the latter was singing at a videoke machine. The victim was then rushed to a hospital for medical treatment.

The Bago City Police Station is currently conducting a hot pursuit operation against the suspect./NC, WDJ
