Ceres-Negros FC goes into tonight’s 2017 Philippines Football League (PFL) final, with kickoff scheduled for 6:00 p.m. at the Panaad Park and Stadium, with a number of injured starters. Among those not taking the pitch include midfielders Martin Steuble and Manuel Ott; and striker Fernando Rodríguez, who is currently tied with teammate Bienvenido Marañón for the most league goals this season.

During a pre-match press conference, Steuble said the club will still give its best performance, especially with the presence of a supportive home crowd.

The two clubs faced each other four times throughout the PFL season, with each club taking two wins. Despite their most recent match ending in a 2-0 win for Global, Ceres has yet to lose at home to the Cebu City side.

Ceres FC assistant coach Ian Treyes said the club will remain focused on the match at hand.

Meanwhile, with Tropical Storm Urduja currently making its way through the midsection of the country, both clubs said they are prepared to play./JSG, WDJ
