The Negros Occidental Private Schools Sports, Cultural and Educational Association (NOPSSCEA), or Area 8, secondary girls’ volleyball team, bannered by Bacolod Tay Tung High School (BTTHS), recently captured the 2017 Palarong Panlalawigan title.

The champions defeated Area 3, comprised of Victorias City, Silay City, Talisay City, EB Magalona, and Murcia, in the finals, winning in straight sets, 25-17, 25-16, 25-20.

“Their hard work and exposure helped them a lot,” said BTTHS Vice President for Sports Jose Montalbo.

The BTTHS squad is next scheduled to take part in the Mayor Tinto Bascon Christmas Volleyball League 2017, which begins today in Himamaylan City./JSG, WDJ
