Before the internet, one would be afraid not following the advice of licensed physicians, who were seen as saviors. Just a few decades back, diagnoses could only come from a doctor. Today, with the internet, many can research illnesses on their own and even look up possible cures.
A retired teacher, who believes smoking is dangerous to one’s health, said they opt for moderate consumption of beer. He explained, from waking up until going to sleep that night, a smoker will utilize in their habit; whereas drinking only takes place after 5:00 p.m., and it’s only a few bottles – and it’s not even every day.
A lawyer noted his has doctor never advised him to drink water from the moment of waking up until just before going to sleep. “Is it because I will become healthy that way?” he questioned.
The teacher added, many use cayenne power to clean their blood vessels, along with it preventing high blood pressure and minimizing the chances of stroke. In addition, an international doctor suggested taking an aspirin a day in order to dilute the blood.
“There are so many greens and grasses created by our Creator that can heal the sick,” suggested a politician. “Why are they not recommended?”
He said tawa-tawa is said to increase platelets during a dengue attack; while malunggay, guayabano, ginger, garlic, and tanglad can prevent illness.
The teacher mentioned the claims of “ill-effects” from the use of underarm deodorant. He said he uses a soap produced in Mindanao, which has resulted in him no longer having underarm odor.
The lawyer added, gallstones and kidney stones can be flushed out with surgery.
It is amusing how much money is spent on preventing disease, with patients forced to withdraw money every time they are treated by a doctor.
