Two men wounded in stabbing, shooting incident in Victorias City

Two men were wounded in a shooting and stabbing incident at Barrio Estado in Barangay 10, Victorias City, Negros Occidental, Sunday evening.
The victims were identified as 34-year-old Ricarte Sabala and 20-year-old Albert Morales.
According to an initial investigation by the Victorias City Police Station, Sabala was comforting a friend, identified as 24-year-old Jay Flores, who was involved in an argument with 22-year-old Raymund Demicino.
The report claimed Demicino stabbed Sabala on his upper left rib and back.
The suspect then tried to flee the scene with his companion, Morales, but they were chased by Sabala’s group.
One of the individuals, armed with an unknown caliber of firearm, shot Morales twice in the back.
Demicino, however, managed to escape into sugarcane plantation and proceeded in an unknown direction.
Victorias City police are currently conducting a hot pursuit operation against the suspect./NC, WDJ
