The Pontevedra Municipal Police Station-Bantay Dagat Task Force arrested six crew members of a fishing boat on charges of illegal fishing in Pontevedra, Negros Occidental, Mondaymorning.

The crew members were identified as 48-year-old Danny Ignacio, 27-year-old Jeremiah Morit, 27-year-old Joash Villaram, 35-year-old James Morit, 29-year-old Jobert Morit, and 27-year-old Tony Aliyacyac.

Police said they spotted the fishing boat while conducting patrol in municipal waters.

The crew failed to present a permit for their fishing operations.

The confiscated boat and fishing paraphernalia were placed under the custody of the task force./NC, WDJ
