The Region 6 chapter of the United States Government Alumni Association (USGAA) recently organized an event for children from an indigenous Ati tribe to visit the Taklong Island National Marine Reserve, located in Nueva Valencia, Guimaras.
“This was conceptualized as a travel and learning experience for indigenous children,” said assistant project leader Angelica S. Belarmino.
During their visit, the kids were exposed to marine life and informed on conservation, along with learning the basics of snorkeling./WDJ
